Description
Senedjemib Complex: two blocks of relief from G 2382 (originally thought to be a tomb, but now known to be a jumbled deposit of limestone blocks from other nearby tombs): left: [originally from G 2381] 13-1-556_ (alpha subset designation unknown, joins 13-1-556f = MFA 13.5830.11); right: [originally from G 2381] 13-1-549 (= MFA 13.4331.19, one of two fragments of this block, marsh [spear fishing] scene; displayed upside down)

Remarks: MFA 13.4331 (overall): composed of autiobiographical inscription of Nekhebu (13-1-547) and spear fishing scene from adjoining wall (13-1-549). MFA 13.5830 (overall): Nekhebu seated in carrying chair on poles supported by at least twelve men, two men carry sun shades and others carry poles supporting canopy over chair, among them are dwarfs with dogs; five registers of figures make up this procession; consists of thirty-six blocks and fragments (one fragment from 13-1-555, four fragments from 13-1-556, one fragment from 13-1-558, thirty fragments original registration number unknown, assigned 13-1-558); one additional fragment (from 13-1-556) not MFA owned.
Problems/Questions: VERIFIED: description corrected, identifications made based on Brovarski composites; accession number 13.4332 corrected to read 13.4331; as of July 2005 13-1-556_ (joins 13-1-556f = MFA 13.5830.11) has not been located in Boston storage; MFA accession number verified
