East of the mastaba and north of G 2091 (GAR). Search for new mastabas, sand, limestone debris, rubble, dirty debris and pebble. A new big stone mastaba appeared in that place and we numbered it G 2098. Exposed the lining of that mastaba on west, and the rest of the lining not yet exposed.

On top of mastaba. Search for the remains of lining of the mastaba and the shafts, sand, limestone debris, rubble and pebble. Rest of lining and shafts not yet exposed.

On top of mastaba, on south. Search for the remains of lining and shafts, sand, limestone debris, rubble, pebble and big stones. A partly destroyed stone room appeared on southeast. The room is inscribed on plaster and with traces of red, yellow, green and black paint over the plaster. On the west wall on north is an inscribed stela in relief. Also in the room is an inscribed pillared in relief. The pillared is inscribed on three sides, south, west, and east. On north there is no inscription. The room opened to east. Found in room debris: fragments of inscribed plaster with traces of red paint, a big stone inscribed and with traces of red and yellow paint. The plaster fragments and the big stone left for drawing and photo. The room not yet cleared. East of the room is a street and east of the street is another new mastaba number G 2099. The remains of the lining of G 2098 not yet exposed on east and north and on south the lining of the mastaba is continued with G 2089.

On top of mastaba. Search for the remains of the lining and the shafts, sand, limestone debris, rubble and pebble. Exposed seven shafts in the mastaba, A, B, C, D, E, F, G and room a. Exposed all the lining. It is north of G 2089, east of G 2097 c and west of G 2099. Drawing of the mastaba on page 744.

(2) G 2099
On top of mastaba. In removing the debris. Search for the lining of the mastaba, sand, limestone debris, rubble and stones. Lining not exposed on east, north and west, but on south it continue with G 2088.

Day of rest.

Only the Mudir ordered Ahmed Eff. to go and fix some plaster fragments in room a of G 2098, and he was working all day in it.

G 2098 a: W.S. Smith and F.O. Allen working in the room in fetching the fallen fragments the fallen fragments of plaster which were fallen from the walls of the chapel. Also Ahmed Eff. in fixing some of plaster fragments on the walls of the room. Removed to the camp some of the plaster fragments.

(2) G 2099
On top of the mastaba. In exposing the rest of the lining of the mastaba and the shafts, sand, limestone debris, rubble, pebble, big stones. Exposed some shafts.
