On top of mastaba. On south lined with dubsh and the casing of the mastaba lined with stones. It is east of G 5030 and G 5031. Sand, dubsh and limestone debris. We exposed some shafts in this mastaba. Not yet numbered.

(2) G 5040
To expose the northeast and the northwest corners of the mastaba. Sand, dubsh and limestone debris. Found in debris of the northwest corner: potsherds from model dishes. Exposed the corners on north.

Bill left for Europe.
Miss Perkins arrived from England today.
The Mudir order[ed] us to [give] the guards and boys of the work backsheesh for the reserve head they found on 8 of August.

East of the mastaba. Limestone debris, dubsh and sand from the debris of the shafts. Exposed the building on east for drawing.

(2) G 5032
On top of the mastaba, between this mastaba and G 5031. Sand, dubsh, limestone debris, potsherds and black debris. Expose the building of the mastaba on west and expose some shafts.

(1) G 5031
G 5031 A: Removed the last piece of the blocking of the chamber. One stone and limestone debris. Body in chamber head on north. Body left for photo.

G 5031 B: Removed the chamber blocking. Dubsh. Body in chamber, head on north. Body left for photo.

G 5031 C: Removed the chamber blocking. Stones and dubsh. Body in chamber, head on north, left for photo.

(2) G 5032
East of the mastaba. Between this mastaba and G 5031 and exposed northwest corner. Limestone debris, dubsh, potsherds and black debris. Found in corner debris: big barrel bead. Exposed the building of the mastaba on east and the northwest corner.

G 5032 A: In shaft. Lined with dubsh, the building gone on north. It is the first shaft from north of the mastaba. Total depth 1 meter. Sand and limestone debris. Ended at rock. No chamber.

G 5032 C: In shaft. Lined with dubsh above, and bound with mud. It is south of B. Down 2.3 meters. Limestone debris, dubsh, potsherds and black debris. Not reached the rock in shaft, and not reached the chamber.

G 5032 Add E: In shaft, cut in rock. South of D. Total depth 1.2 meters. Sand and limestone debris. Ended at rock. No chamber.

G 5032 Add F: In shaft. Lined with dubsh above and rock below. It is south of E and it is the last shaft on south of the mastaba. Total depth 2.1 meters. Excavated before 1.5 meters. Sand and limestone debris. Chamber on south cut in rock. Blocked with two stones and some dubsh. Blocking left for photo.

G 4516 B: Removed the body from the chamber. Drawing on page 99.

(2) G 5031
G 5031 X: In shaft and chamber. Lined with stones and dubsh above and rock below. It is between G 5031 and G 5032. Total depth 2.07 meters. Excavated before 85 cm. Limestone debris dubsh and black debris. Chamber on west cut in rock. No blocking. Reached the rock in shaft, cleared. Drawing on page 99.
