(2) Street G 7000
G I-b, east of chapel. About 9 a.m. shifted all but one gang to clearing away broad end of railroad embankment (under loading switch) having shifted switch about 1.5 meters further north. Cleared this away and began working at sebbakh-siftings etc. to Ptolemaic-Roman level in continuation of bin-level further south. A few fragments of walls (crude brick) are appearing. I notice a complex of walls on Lepsius' map but find no comment in the text.
