Another factor was that Line I was on pit-work.
(1) G 6020
Clearing surface debris and drift sand from behind G 6020 exposing back [west] wall. The walls of G 6020 are dressed flat on east, west and south but not on north. On north the rough wall was concealed by the mastaba G 6040.
(2) G 6021
Finished clearing top and sides of G 6021. In the course of clearing the western side, we exposed another mastaba, rubble cased in small stones. [ILLUSTRATION]. G 6024
G 6021 A: Cleared pit A. Depth 4.45 meters. Sand to 3 meters, then mixed dirty debris. Chamber on west, full of sand.
G 6021 B: Cleared B: Unused. Descends 1.65 meters to rock surface and ends. Lined with mud-plastered rubble. Mixed debris.
G 6021 C: Down 81 cm; Rubble lined; Debris is fairly clean sand and rubbish.

(3) G 6022
Cleared top and sides of G 6022. Behind touched no other mastaba but only drift sand.
G 6022 A: Depth 3.1 meters, sand to 1.3 meters and then rubbish. Chamber on west.
G 6022 B: Depth 2.25 meters, no chamber, unused.
