Workmen:

Everybody despondent and work feeble.
Work on:
(1) G 7000 X
(2) G 7050 B
(3) G 7070
(4) G 7000 SW (southwest)
Cars emptied:
Live V to 8:00 am: 25, 8:30 to noon: 42, 1:30 to 4:30: 40
total: 107
The great decrease was due to 1) natural lassitude 2) most of the force was on G 7000 southwest with hand carry. The railroad served only the pit G 7050 B and the excavation in G 7070 with long carry.

Dunham finished drawing of next area south of pit. Have photo a (*A3704[sic]) of yesterday retaken to get a more satisfactory lighting. Mustapha working in place of Mohammedani and less experienced.
Dunham and I recorded and removed Nos. 86, 87, 88.
No. 85: Is given to the potsherds etc. found in the fine rubbish over the filling of the pit.
No. 86: Is a long fragment-of the inlaid gold leaf of the canopy cover (or curtain) lying on the coffin. This was backed with a fine layer of plaster laid on leather (?).
No. 87: Was the gold leaf cover of a rectangular bar.
No. 88: Was a small fragment of gold leaf.
Scattered about are a number of fibrous pieces of decayed wood and some scraps of brown fabric. In no case is the wood well
