Just inside the door block is a rock-cut pit (secondary) filled with clean limestone chips. As already noted, this filling had settled to a depth of 20 - 30 cm carrying with it some fragments of objects. The stones of the door block marked x above in the first and second courses from the bottom have also dropped down owing to this same settling of the debris in the rock-cut pit which is thus shown to run under the pit-blocking.
Mr. Stewart came out and agreed to make a watercolor picture of the chamber. The work will be held up a day or two while this is being done.

(2) Street G 7000 S (south)
Carrying out the R.R. embankment west of G 7152 and the underlying shallow surface debris.

(3) G 7152
Cleared Saite level in front of south part of G 7152. Cleared out offering room and serdab. The offering room appears to have been reused in the Saite period for a burial. Recently thieves have attempted to break out reliefs in the west wall, about 10-20 years ago.
Also examined top of mastaba and opened
