Work started clearing sand from street south of G 4620.

Work continued removing hard debris from pit No. G 4831 C.

Work started clearing sand from street south east of G 4430, continuing between G 4530 and G 4520.
G 4720
Work continued in street west of G 4720. Sand entirely cleared down to solid rock, leaving debris thrown out from G 4720 to be photographed as per diagram [ILLUSTRATION]
Work started filling pit No. G 4720 with debris from top of mastaba No. G 4720.
Old line of tracks from southeast of G 4430 to dump resumed.

Work finished on pit No. G 4831 C to depth about 9.5 m.
Work finished on pit No. 4831 B to depth about 2.5 m.
Between G 4520 and G 4530
Work continued easterly in street between G 4520 and G 4530 to the southeast of G 4530 removing sand debris.
G 4720
Work continued in street west of G 4720 removing old hard debris thrown out from pit No. G 4720. Fragments of two alabaster statuettes found in two different places in the sand beneath debris thrown out from G 4720. Also a small limestone statuette without head or feet (belonging to feet and head found January 8) found in the debris thrown out from G 4720.
G 4620
Three pits under the east face of G 4620 uncovered [G 4622], all cut in solid rock, one of them faced with rubble. Work started clearing these pits, one going down to solid rock at about .5 meters, the other two unfinished at about 4 meters. Hard debris.
